This project
covers three different but closely related domains that have so far been kept
separate.
- equal opportunities/gender differences management
- work organization and Human Resource management
- both formal and informal quality system
management.
These three factors must be taken
into account within the same process since the lack of any one of them runs the
risk of undermining the process and system quality.
To work in a
organization means being part of a process that has deep implications for each person
as work allows individuals to satisfy important motivational needs: sense of
belonging to a group, social recognition, sense of identity and self-esteem.
Working means building and shaping an important part of our identity, according
to a daily relentless process that involves both our skills and our “being”.
Hence, it is important that the organizational system, based on procedures and
control, is supported by a system that understands and expresses emotionality,
empathy, that aims at reaching ‘quality’ and ‘well-being’, that fosters
empowerment and a sustainable work/life balance, that is able to identify,
consider and enhance gender differences.
